Arcane Firelights Mask

Behold my Arcane Firelights Mask! The mask from the Netflix show Arcane, if you haven’t watched it yet I would highly recommend that you do. The Arcane Firelights Mask was something I couldn’t get out of my head, so I had to jump into Blender and create it for myself. Once I get something stuck in my head, I defiantly have to go and design it.

The total design time for this piece so far is 10 hours, which is crazy, because this time last year I hadn’t even opened Blender for the first time. Practice a little bit every day and you will achieve your goals. The more I use Blender, the faster I am in blocking out the shapes for my designs. I was messing around with particles, shading and lighting this week to try and see if I could make a “cool” picture. I think it turned out great.

What Is Arcane?

Arcane is a 2021 animated streaming television series. It is set in the League of Legends universe. The series was announced at the League of Legends tenth anniversary celebration. It was produced by Riot Games and Fortiche, a French animation studio based in Paris. Set in the past relative to the League of Legends universe, Arcane serves as a prequel to the game and retells the origin stories of several characters from Piltover and Zaun.

I’m finishing off the blocking and shaping of the mask. Then I will figure out how the mask will print and interconnect together between all of its pieces. I’m hoping this will be a 4 part print to make it easy. I am not sure yet, but when I start to engineer the mask it might grow or shrink depending on how it will print. Either way, I’m excited because this is another project that’s going well and will hopefully lead to another successful design.

The Arcane Firelights Mask will be available on the Etsy and website store soon enough … hopefully! But it’s coming up to Christmas so who knows.
